Cadillac will debut the redesigned CTS sedan at the New York auto show in late March and put the car on sale this fall. The redesigned Escalade SUV is set to arrive in early 2014. Dimitri Vicedomini has joined Brilliance Automotive as its Design Director, following his previous position as Chief Designer at Pininfarina. Vicedomini, who has over 15 years of experience within the automotive design industry, has previously worked with Brilliance, leading the Pininfarina design team behind models including the Splendor and Splendor Wagon, the H530, and Brilliance's Zhonghua Concept. Within his long history at the renowned Italian design house he was involved in projects including the Ferrari FF, the Enzo and the new F12 Berlinetta as well as the Maserati Gran Turismo and other models.
General Motors said Wednesday that it will be donating the first production model of the 2014 Cadillac CTS V-Sport to the SAE Foundation. The car will then be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson later this year with the proceeds going to the foundation's science, technology, engineering and mathematics student programs. The CTS V-Sport, or as Cadillac officially spells it, Vsport, was revealed earlier this year at the New York Auto Show.
